About Dr. Shah
Dr. Purvi V. Shah is a uniquely qualified pediatric dentist with experience in child nutrition and pediatric
dentistry. Her experience shapes her practice philosophy that oral health and nutrition play a vital role in
a child's healthy growth and development and overall well being.
Dr. Shah's outstanding care for children has continually earned her recognition from her peers. During
her dental education at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, she was awarded the Spurgeon
Dental Class Award, the American Dental Education Association's Preventive Dentistry Award and the
Marvin J. Block Community Dentistry Award for community service. Dr. Shah has also served as chief
resident during her pediatric dental residency at The Children's Hospital, Denver.
In addition to these awards, Dr. Shah's research studies have been published and cited in the journal of
Pediatric Dentistry*, a publication internationally recognized as the leading journal in the area of
pediatric dentistry. Dr. Shah is a Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry and also
has a MS in Nutrition.
